Tom Peterson – Branch Manager, Sussex Office
A California native, Tom has arrived at Southern Solar after working for a PV installation company in the San Francisco Bay Area. “I really enjoy working at Southern Solar. It's very important that I be part of the solution to the energy challenges facing us all, and Southern Solar has kept me on this path one new installation at a time!“
Away from work, Tom still has most of England to explore and learn about, and enjoys doing exactly that with his wife and friends.
Annie Lowden – Domestic Sales Sussex
Annie works in the Sussex office. You may well talk to her on the phone, or get a visit from her if you want a survey – she’s always cheerful – well nearly! She says; “I joined Southern Solar in May 2006, having previously trained as a plumber and run my own domestic plumbing business for several years. I’ve been interested in renewables for a long time now, and helped out with a couple of installations in the early days of Southern Solar. I enjoy working here at Southern Solar, it’s important to me to be part of a small and dedicated business. So many of our customers comment on how helpful and friendly the team are, and it makes all the difference to be involved in a pioneering and reputable company.”
Ian Jepson – Installation Team Manager
Ian is the manager of the installation team in Sussex and gets involved with all aspects of the installation of both solar hot water and electric systems. “I love leading a team of interesting, enthusiastic people! I get great satisfaction from installing, working on renewable energy technology and helping to create a more sustainable future. The shed on my allotment is also extremely impressive.”
Simon Delves – Installation Team Member
Simon is a member of the Sussex instillation team, who works on the installation of solar hot water and electric systems. He is a qualified electrician, and he loves fishing!
“Hello I’m a solar engineer, my little boy thinks that my work is to catch the sun, in a way it is. What a wonderful job.”
Chris Sowerbutts - Sales Consultant
Chris Sowerbutts joined Southern Solar in April 2010 to help with the solar surge sparked by the long-awaited Feed-in Tariff.
“I am excited to be part of a company that’s lighting the path which leads to a brighter future. Energy security is something that concerns us all and Southern Solar is a pioneering force in providing a socially and environmentally responsible solution.”
He is also studying for an MSc in Renewable Energy and will be plundering the team’s vast wealth of knowledge. Chris’ interests include juggling, chess and (slightly arrhythmic!) dancing.
Fabrice Leveque - Sales Support Coordinator
I recently joined the Sussex branch to help coordinate their busy sales team, and I'm enjoying the busy challenge so far.
I decided to embark on the route of sustainable technologies several years ago and completed my MSc in sustainable science and technology last year. I think that a distributed energy system has exciting potential to help meet our energy needs in a more sustainable way, and it's really great working for a company founded on similar values and beliefs.
To relax out of work I love to play guitar and have taken to growing my own veg in our tiny Brighton garden. With my family being in France I like to get out there also to go snowboarding and hiking in the Pyrenees.
