Solar Electric Systems

Solar Electric PanelsIn our experience there is no one size fits all solution for our homes, they are as individual as their occupants.  However once we know a bit about your home, we will design a system that works for it. As long as you have eight square meters or more of roof space we should be able to fit a system on your home.

We can make your roof out of solar panels by roof integrating the system and replacing your tiles or we can mount the system on top of your existing roof on a frame.  Both systems look great, and if you are having a new roof, it makes sense to reduce the number of tiles you are using and make your roof out of panels.  The framing systems we use to mount the panels are specifically designed for the job, and made from aluminum, so they will last as long as the panels.  In the absnece of a suitable pitched roof, panels can also be mounted on a flat roof, or even on frames in your graden.

solar electric systemsBehind the solar panels sits a control system called an inverter, which enables your solar electric system to interact with the national grid, and feeds the electricity that comes out of your panels into your house ring main.  When you are generating more energy that you are using then the excess will flow out of your house and into the national grid and when you do not have enough coming from the panels you draw from the grid as normal.  See the section on buy back tariffs for more specific information.

Once installed solar electric systems require no maintenance, and the panels are normally guaranteed for at least twenty years depending on the manufacturer.  We offer a range of different panels from different manufacturers as listed in our panels section.
