Flat plate panels

Flat plate panels tend to be used for larger systems, commercial projects, new builds or social housing. They can be integrated into the roof, giving the appearance of a large sky-light, or fixed on top of the roof.

Key features:

• Solid, robust design, ideally suited to situations where the client will not regularly inspect the panel.
• Potential to install “drain-back” systems that allow simple, fail-safe shut down of the solar system if property is left vacant.
• Able to be integrated into the roof line, producing a more aesthetically pleasing appearance, especially on new builds.
• Ideally suited to large commercial systems where their cost becomes substantially cheaper than evacuated tubes.
• Slightly lower efficiency than evacuated tubes, means less potential issues with over heating
