JOB OPPORTUNITY IN LONDON:
BRANCH MANAGER
To develop our business we are looking to set up a permanent office in London, with a new branch manager, supported by our Sussex and Bristol offices. We are looking for an outstanding candidate to set up and run this branch in what is a rapidly expanding and dynamic new business.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Set up and develop a new office and installation ability in the London area.
- Develop contacts that will provide leads
- Undertake surveying and sales
- Co-ordinate the installation of domestic and commercial solar systems (both hot water and electric)
- Assist in the development of Southern Solar across all branches
- Maintain a business culture that is in line with Southern Solar’s ethos.
The successful candidate will ideally have skills and experience in the following areas:
EXPERIENCE
Essential
- At least 2 years experience of management in a construction related business.
- A proven track record in sales to both domestic and public sector customers.
Desirable
- Knowledge of solar electric and hot water systems
- Ability to install solar electric and hot water systems
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
- Good IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
- Proven track record in customer care
- Managing work load to targets.

JOB OPPORTUNITY IN HEREFORD:
OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR AND ASSISTANT TO BRANCH MANAGER
We are looking for a capable and well-organised person to take on the general administration of our office near Hereford. You will be the first point of contact for new enquiries and will need to be able to deal with a wide range of enquiries in a friendly yet prompt manner. You will also be trained to provide quotations, survey properties and assist in all aspects of running the office, which may include working on installations and occasional stays away from home.

JOB OPPORTUNITY IN HEREFORD:
INSTALLATION TEAM MEMBER
We are looking for a positive and motivated individual with qualifications in heating and plumbing and proven practical experience. The job will involve a lot of hands-on work, completing our busy schedule of installations.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Participate in the installation of solar systems. Your role will centre around lifting panels onto the roof via scaffolding, installing the panels, running pipe work in loft and assisting with any other aspect of the installation, including cylinders swaps and basic electrics
- Stock checking and ordering for the store and vans.
- Basic vehicle maintenance and arranging any repairs.
- Assisting in waste disposal
- Assist (under direction) in the installation of solar electric systems
There is a great opportunity for further expansion of your skills and experience, and the possibility of promotion to a role with greater responsibilities in the future.
The successful candidate will ideally have skills and experience in the following areas:

- Basic IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
